Premier Government Solutions (PGS), founded in 2005 as Pennhurst Government Solutions, is a non-profit consulting company dedicated to improving health and human services in the public sector.  PGS was created in recognition that highly skilled former executive level state officials can continue to serve as a significant resource for government agencies, their partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries.  These individuals have decades of institutional knowledge as well an understanding of the needs and issues of health and human service organizations.  Today, many of these organizations are faced with an increased demand for services while contending with demands for budget economies and competing priorities, significant turnover and retirement rates and changes to their missions.

Many highly experienced and motivated professionals leave public service for work with commercial consulting houses, strike out on their own or leave their fields entirely.  Our vision for PGS is to provide timely and highly experienced resources for government and other public sector health and human service organizations and to provide a vehicle for former officials and program executives who still want to contribute but are not interested in the "business" of consulting.
